The commissioning process; the adventure begins. The search for that perfect piece of furniture begins with a chat on the phone with Nicholas about what it is you want, and where the piece is to be placed. Once Nicholas has seen the venue, you can discuss with him everything about the commission. There are many details to be covered from choice of woods, to final finish, and he will guide and assist you in your decision making. Careful notes will be made to ensure that Nicholas has fully understood the nature of the commission. After a minimum of three weeks, during which drawings and samples will have been prepared, a presentation of them is made to you, inviting you to comment and select the design you wish to have made. Once selected, Nicholas will take a deposit in order to purchase materials and commence making the piece. A date will have been agreed upon for delivery, and final payment is made at that time. It‘s a really enjoyable experience for all concerned, especially the delivery and unveiling of the work when your dream piece is there in front of you at last, gleaming and inviting you to feel the fineness of the craftsmanship beneath your fingers.
